1001 Books to Read Before You Die – Find Some Free!

Just a short post today, but I wanted to get this list out there to you guys. It's 1001 Books To Read Before You Die. It's been available in its current form since 2006, but if you're stuck in the house, needing something to do, you might as well read a few books! Many of these books are available for free, since they are classics. Which means you can pick them up on your B&N Nook, Amazon Kindle, or whatever other eReader you use on your computer for free (you knew I'd work that "Bargain" keyword in the somewhere)! Of course, some you will have to purchase, but maybe by the time you get done with the free classics, winter will be gone, and we can all go back outside in the sunshine!
See the complete 1001 Books To Read Before You Die here. My favorites are Anna Karenina, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, The Great Gatsby, and Les Misérables, but there are so many greats on this list!
Places to Pick Up Free eBooks and Real Books!

The Library (duh you say!) - well, seriously, at our local library most of the people in there are just surfing on the free computers with free internet access. There are hardly any people checking out books, so you can usually find anything you want! Maybe it's the same at your library also.

Project Gutenberg - I think the first and still the best place to find classics in text and pdf form.
Stanza Application - Stanza is the free eBook reader for around 100,000 classics. I'm pretty sure most of the 1,001 books can be read on Stanza!

Amazon has many free classics on the Kindle. You might decide you want to purchase a Kindle to read them, but I like the free Kindle for my iPhone just as well as a Kindle (I borrowed one from a friend to test it). Kindle is also free for your PC, Mac, and Blackberry.
