First of all let me say that I'm sorry you are having to replace this Whirlpool Ice Maker part (specifically the 2198597W10122502 model but can be made for KitchenAid, Kenmore, and a couple other refrigerators with model #).  Apparently whomever designed this ice maker for Whirlpool did not thoroughly test it, so pretty much every one of them that have been made have failed.
