Even though I was not familiar with the ASUS Eee brand, it looked like a smart buy mainly because of all the features this netbook offers you. The Asus Eee Seashell 1005PE-PU27 netbook is small, light and I loved its innovative design. It only weights 4.4 pounds, so it's very convenient while traveling.
The Asus 1005PE-PU27 netbook was a great buy. The netbook is fast, reliable and it truly delivers a very long battery life, up to 14 hours if you have it set to the "power saver" mode. Otherwise, the battery life is around 8 hours at full throttle.

The Asus 1005PE-PU27 has a 10 inches ultra light and thin screen with LED capability that helps you save energy, but keeps the image ultra crisp and bright. The image resolution for the screen is 1024x600 pixels, meaning that you can enjoy your games, movies, photos, and websites with bright, and shiny colors in the glossy flawless screen.

The Asus Eee 1005PE netbook is a tiny computer ready for you to use as soon as you pull it out of the box. It's Internet ready and the wireless capabilities are very good with the 802.11b/g/n card.
The Intel N450 Atom Processor of 1.66 GHz and 1 GB DIMM Memory will start your computer in a snap, so you can start enjoying the benefits of the new Windows 7 Operative System right away. You can expand the memory to 2GB if you want to.
Asus Eee 1005PE-PU27-BK offers you 250 GB of SATA Hard Drive, and Asus is generous enough to throw in another 500 GB of Free Web Storage.
This netbook also includes a built-in webcam, so you can enjoy the convenience of chatting online without plugging in more annoying devices to your netbook. The webcam is 0.3MP which is probably not the best resolution, but still a very decent one, and the netbook also comes with a digital microphone.
As for performance, the Asus 1005PE-PU27-BK works smoothly while switching from program to program, browsing the Internet, etc. If you're planning to use it for games or movies, you're on the right track because the Asus Eee PC runs DVD's and games smoothly with a great, crisp image and the sound is also very good with its stereo speakers and High-Definition Audio CODEC.
Overall, the Asus 1005PE-PU27-BK is a tiny notebook that is possibly more than I could have expected for the price. I highly recommend it.
