Several online stores have reduced the price on the Asus Eee PC 900SD netbook down to $219.99, most notably TigerDirect and Amazon (sales page).  The Asus Eee PC 900SD is a nice quality netbook, and a good starter netbook if you haven't yet made the jump down to the compact-sized netbooks.  The 900SD being sold features an Intel Celeron M processor rated at 800MHz.  It features 512 Mb of DDR2 RAM which is lower than most other netbooks being sold, but again, it's a starter netbook.  The 8Gb of hard drive space is also small, and honestly a little too small for most people.

The display on the Asus Eee PC 900SD netbook is a 8.9" sized widescreen SVGA screen.  Windows XP Home is included and pre-installed at most sellers.  Rounding out the utilities on the 900SD is a webcam.

Asus Eee PC 900SD-BLK009X Netbook Sale Price: $159.00

Again, the Asus Eee 900SD netbook is a great quality starter netbook, and will function just fine as a music or DVD player. It's also good for creating and editing documents (like spreadsheets, word docs, etc.). But if you need something to play higher CPU intensive games, then you will need to purchase an Asus with a little more speed and storage.
