After my recent purchase of a Brother 1034D 3/4 Lay-In Thread Serger, I realized what a great machine I chose. This lay-in thread serger, in which you can use 3 or 4 different threads and has a F.A.S.T. lower looper threading system, is very easy to use. The lay-in thread system accompanied with the tension release that this machine comes equipped with, makes threading effortless. It contains 22 built-in stitches and interchangeable feet. These interchangeable, snap-on feet help you transition quickly and easily from one type of stitch to another. Some of the stitch options included are: 4 thread overlock, 3 thread overlock, narrow hem, rolled hem, and ribbon lock.

If you wish, you can purchase an additional (optional) presser foot that allows you to sew a blind hem, pin tuck, and flat lock stitches. I am so pleased with the variety of stitches I am able to do with this machine. To give you more room while sewing, this machine also includes a free arm/flat bed convertible sewing surface.
When I first purchased this machine, I was concerned that there would be fabrics I could not use, not so with this machine. This Brother 1034D 3/4 Lay-In Thread Serger has the ability to sew knitted, thin, or stretched fabrics by simply adjusting the Differential Feed. In this way, your fabric will not bunch when you want it to be flat.
Along with the Differential Feed, you can also adjust your sewing speed with this machine's foot pedal speed control. Guiding your fabric along has just become so much simpler! Some of the accessories included with this machine are: a soft cover, a blind hem/multipurpose guide foot, a gathering foot, a set of needles, a removable trim trap, and a cleaning brush. One of the other great things about this machine, is it uses standard sewing needles. No need to purchase special needles at an extra cost!
