Starting at around $23,000, the Chevy Cobalt SS is the top of the line Cobalt from Chevrolet and is available as either a coupe or sedan. The Chevy Cobalt SS features great gas mileage with 22 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway as your average rate when the car is new and being maintained properly. The engine on the Cobalt SS is the 2.0 liter ECOTEC Turbo engine. The SS gets an upgrade in suspension with a lean toward better performance than the lower model Cobalt. The transmission is a 5 speed manual, which is preferred for those looking for more sport in their car, and the shifter and steering wheel on the SS are leather wrapped for a better looking interior. The brakes on the Cobalt SS are standard antilock disc brakes on all four wheels, but they are upgraded in the front with Brembo four piston brakes. The exhaust has a nice addition in a chrome tip which is special to the Cobalt SS. The wheels on the Chevy Cobalt SS are 18" forged aluminum with a higher performance tire (tire spec depends on area they were manufactured).

The exterior of the Chevy Cobalt SS also has a different, sportier look to the front grill area and rear bumper including the addition of fog lamps in the front of the SS and a spoiler on the trunk of the car.

The interior of the Chevy Cobalt SS, in addition to the learther stick shift and steering wheel includes a standard XM radio. It also has Bluetooth available for certain phones so you can drive and talk hands free with your car's help. Cloth bucket seats in the SS are standard, but include UltraLux inserts. The console includes two outlets for electronic connections. Rounding out the interior of the Chevy Cobalt SS is the inclusion of OnStar with one free year. If you haven't tried OnStar before, you won't believe what a great service this is!

All in all, the Chevy Cobalt SS (supercharged) is a higher performance, and sportier car than the lower priced Chevy Cobalt. If a better engine, and nicer compliments in the interior and exterior are what you like to have in a car, then the Chevy Cobalt SS is the car for you!
