Ice cream is one of my favorite treats, especially in the summer time! And right now, at least here in Mississippi, it's starting to feel a lot like summer time. Anyway, for the past two years I have thought about buying an ice cream maker, but I figured it might be just a bit messy and time consuming to make our own ice cream.
But recently I received the Cuisinart ICE-30BC Ice Cream Maker as a gift and I absolutely love it! The Cuisinart ICE-30BC (also known as Pure Indulgence 2-Quart Ice Cream Maker) is extremely easy to use, and makes creamy delicious ice cream fairly quickly. It's not like a traditional ice cream maker where you have to churn it forever to make the ice cream. But you do have to do some preparations.

For instance, you will need to free the Cuisinart ICE-30BC's double insulated bowl for about 8 hours before you can begin. If you plan on making a lot of ice cream, you might want to just make some permanent room in your freezer for the Cuisinart. It's a little bigger than 2 quarts, which isn't too large a space to make accommodations for in the freezer (at least temporarily; for larger freezers it won't be difficult at all).
Now, that's the tough part: waiting 8 hours before you can begin. But the best part about the Cuisinart ICE-30BC Ice Cream Maker is that once you add the ingredients, you only have to wait a half hour before your ice cream is ready! It is an automatic machine, so once you start it up, you don't have to check on it until the half hour is over.
If you aren't the ice cream sort, the Cuisinart ICE-30BC ice cream maker doesn't just make ice cream; it's also able to create frozen yogurt or sorbets for your family. There's a small recipe booklet included with the Cuisinart to help you get started on your ice cream, yogurt, or sorbet adventure, further helping you get the treats made without a lot of hassle.
