Dyson Air Multiplier – Amazon Deal of the Day

We wrote a more extensive review of the Dyson Air Multiplier back in July of this year (2011), and if you want to see that review, you can do so here. However, one of the main problems I had with my review of any and all of the Dyson Air Multipliers is the cost. They work wonderfully, and do exactly what Dyson says they will do, but the high cost of the fan is somewhat prohibitive of someone who might actually buy one. That person would namely be an apartment dweller, someone who might not actually have a ton of extra money to spend on items like this. You do of course have those in the far north who don't have central air, who could benefit from the fan, but still the cost has been unusually high.
But just for today, that problem is resolved! Amazon (via Woot!) is selling the Dyson Air Multiplier shown for just $129.99. The normal pricing for this particular fan is $229, I believe, which is one of the more outstanding bargains we've seen in pricing for any of the Dyson fans.

The technology behind the Dyson Air Multiplier is pretty extraordinary. When you first turn it on, it doesn't appear to really be doing anything because it's so quiet. If you lean in close to it, you can hear the rush of air being pulled into the fan, but that's about all the noise you'll get from this fan. What you will experience by leaning into it is the powerful amount of air being pushed out by the fan. Dyson Air Multiplier fans suck in air from the back, collect it, and then push it back out the front at around 18 times the power of other fans! So it's just a huge amount of air that you can have circulating in your home, making it unnecessary to use additional air units except in very hot situations (like July/August in the South).
