As one of the better (and affordable) earbuds on the market, the JBuds J3M Micro Atomic Earbuds are nearly perfect! We've reviewed the standard J3 earbuds from JBuds before, and found them to an excellent upgrade to the standard earbuds that are sold with most MP3 players. But the JBuds J3M earbuds do everything I want in an earbud including the ability to talk on my phone while wearing them and also to control my music with the in-line microphone and music controls.

The JBuds J3M Micro Atomic Earphones, just like the original J3's, are built with an aluminum housing for all of the earbud components. Aluminum helps to hold the resonance of the music in and keep it more refined than a standard plastic casing that you typically find on earbuds sold with MP3 players or smart phones. Inside the aluminum housing of the JBuds J3M earbuds are tiny titanium micro drivers which provide a far more clear sound at any level of music: high notes, bass, and the mids.

Because the JBuds J3M are "in-ear" earbuds, you might expect a little bit of noise isolation, and you would be right. The JBuds J3M earbuds package includes four sizes of silicone ear tips to help provide the best fit to your ear while doing as much as possible to isolate the noises around you. The J3M earbuds aren't noise cancellation earbuds; you'll still hear the noise around you, but it won't be as loud or distracting with the right fit of ear tip on the JBuds J3M's.
But now to my favorite part of the J3M earbuds: the in-line microphone! For some reason I tend to press the touch screen on my iPhone with my face while talking, which brings up the keypad, which invariably causes me to also touch a number and annoying the other person on the phone. So, I need the in-line microphone, just to keep from annoying my callers. Because of the cost associated with adding the in-line microphone, it is difficult to find a good cheap pair of earbuds that include the mic. Many smart phones include a cheap pair, or have an optional attachment to use with the smart phone so that you can listen to your music or switch to a phone conversation fairly quickly. And those cheap earbuds will work in either situation fairly well, but don't expect a high level of sound quality from those earbuds. If you can afford to spend just a little bit of money, you'll find that the JBuds J3M earphones provide far superior sound quality over the cheap versions.
The JBuds J3M earbuds music playback works with any MP3 or smart phone capable of playing music as long as the device include the 3.5 millimeter jack. The ability to use the JBuds J3M earphones for phone conversations or to play or pause your music with the in-line microphone are available for all iPhones, Android, and Blackberry phones. Music play, pause, and moving through the music selections also work with Zune and Sansa MP3 players. So, there are a wide range of options that the JBuds J3M earbuds can be used for, but we can only recommend them for the phones, Zune, and Sansa players. With the other devices, it would probably be better to just settle for the standards JBuds J3 earphones. They are the same, except the standard JBuds do not feature the microphone.
If you are looking to upgrade your smart phone or MP3 player to a higher performance earbud, then take a look at JBuds J3M Micro Atomic in-ear earphones. They provide an excellent sound, yet are still bargain priced at or below $50. Add on the feature of the in-line microphone, and the JBuds J3M earphones are a great bargain!
