Red Kodak EasyShare M530 Digital Camera

The Kodak EasyShare M530 Digital Camera is sleek, two-tone, stylish, and extremely affordable, too! The Kodak EasyShare M530 is probably the most basic camera we have ever reviewed here, but it doesn't make for a bad camera at all. The M530 camera is really meant to make picture taking as easy as possible, while providing a handy way to share photos without a lot of effort and thought into how to accommodate sharing. If you are an experienced photographer, you may not understand why people just simply want cameras that take pictures, but there really are those that don't care about choosing the best ISO for their environment, and the Kodak EasyShare M530 camera was designed for them.

The Kodak EasyShare M530 review is really fairly easy to write, because it's easy to use this camera. You turn it on, point it at your subject, zoom if need be, and press the shutter. Picture taken, and all within just a few seconds! Want to share the photo? That's easy enough to do, as Kodak put a nice little EasyShare button on the bottom right of the camera. Press it, and the camera asks you where you want to send the photo. Make your selection, and when the camera is next connected to an internet ready computer, it will post the picture for you.

To share photos, one usually wants to tag them for proper identification, and the Kodak EasyShare M530 lets you do this pretty easily once the Share button has been pressed. But what makes the camera even easier to use is that it can recognize up to 10 faces that you've already defined to the camera, and tag them automatically thereafter. Facial recognition also works well in the autofocus as the camera will "follow" the face like a moving target through the frame and make a great attempt at keeping the recognized face in focus.

As mentioned, the Kodak EasyShare M530 camera does most of the work if you want it to. But if changes need to be made, say to reduce the amount of noise in the shot by reducing the ISO, the buttons next to the 2.7" LCD screen are fairly large and easy to navigate. And the 2.7" LCD is large enough for the EasyShare M530 camera to be held at arm's length and still allow the photographer to operate the camera efficiently.

Because the Kodak M530 camera is a simplistic camera to use, a few features have been left off. Most point-and-shoot cameras today have some sort of high definition video capability. While almost all of those cameras are more expensive than the EasyShare M530, it still bothers us that we're only getting 640x480 resolution in our video with this camera. If you must have HD videos, this camera won't be the best choice for you.

We're also a bit bothered by the battery charging. The Kodak M530 camera's battery has to be charged while in the camera itself, with the USB cable being attached to the camera body. Many photographers like to have one battery on the charger while the other is in use, but that setup won't work here! You'll need to pre-charge your extra batteries, so that when you shoot your 200 shots, you'll still have another battery for later on.

With those problems hopefully not an issue for you, the Kodak EasyShare M530 reviews just as expected. Good color and good quality are what you expect from any camera, and this camera couples those needs with an amazingly low-price for the budget concerned consumers.
