The Monster Turbine in-ear speakers are a great deal heavier than most earbuds. This heaviness is understandable considering the the body of each of the buds is metal based with a black chrome finish. Monster states that metal was used for the body to reduce vibrations and eliminate anything that could harm the sound from the Monster Turbine earbuds. That's possibly true, or at least it sounds convincing, but I think it may also be that the added heft gives the feeling of more quality for you money. It also gives Monster a chance to design earbuds that look like jet turbine engines!

As far as the actual sound produced by the Monster Turbine in-ear speakers, if you are searching for earbuds with a better bass sound than other earbuds at this price level, then the Monster Turbine earbuds (er speakers) do a fantastic job on the low end. In fact, most Monster headphones and earbuds we have listened to have a better bass sound that comparable products. The Turbine earbuds provide a nice rich blend to the bass made available from your music source, and sounds fairly close to what you expect if listening to the same music on a higher priced set of headphones.

One word of advice about the Monster Turbine in-ear speakers, and this advice does hold true for most earbuds. There is a reason that the Monster Turbine earbuds are sold with multiple eartips, and that reason is that one size does not fit all. Your ears may not fit the normal bulb eartips properly, which could reduce your sound enjoyment significantly. So try all of the eartips made available with the Monster Turbine in-ear speakers to determine your best fit. The tree eartips may look a bit funny, but if the sound quality is better for you when using them, then by all means, use them!

All of the eartips sold with the Monster Turbine in-ear speakers are sound isolating and so do attempt to keep ambient noise minimized when wearing the Turbine Pro earbuds. The weight of the Turbine earbuds does tend to pull slightly on the fit of the earbuds, which allows a bit more ambient sound in than we would like. You may be interested in purchasing some Shure eartips to use with the Turbine earbuds to help reduce the ambient noise just a bit more.

And finally, the Monster Turbine In-Ear Speakers are sold with a nice little suede-lined case to hold your new Turbine earbuds and eartips. Completing the finished product has become a standard for the Monster line of headphone and earbud items, and so the addition of this little black case does a good job of enhancing the Turbines.

The Monster Turbine In-Ear Speakers really do a nice job of performing as a high-end earbud product without the high-end price. Professional musicians will still want to go the route of the Shure SE535 earbuds. But for the rest of us, those that just want to listen to our music in a pure fashion, the Monster Turbine in-ear speakers are a high quality product with a very low price!
