Without the lens (which is not normally included in most packages), the D3S weights just a bit less than 3 pounds. That's fairly hefty for a regular camera, but just about standard for other cameras in this price range. And, being that this is a bargain site, we find that the price tag on the Nikon D3S is a little too steep for our tastes, but the professional photographer or photojournalist will see the prices we have found to be cheaper than what you could find in your local camera shops. Whatever package for the D3S you purchase, you will find that the brand new models will most likely only include the D3S body, a bag for the camera, manuals, and brochures to get you going, and in some cases the Nikon Li-Ion battery to power your camera. You may also want to either purchase separately or with the camera, a hood cap to go along with your purchase and a warranty to protect your investment.

If you purchase a used Nikon D3S DSLR camera, we suggest you go out of your way to determine that you are making a quality purchase. Prices for used models should not be bottom dollar purchases, as you want to purchase it from someone who has shown an ability to care for the camera while in their care.

As far as professional cameras go, the Nikon D3S Digital SLR camera seems to have pleased the toughest of consumers.
