The latest console offering from Nintendo, the Nintendo 3DS console, released today! You can read our review of the Nintendo 3DS system here, but for today I wanted to list all of the current deals that I am aware of to help you decide which store would be right for you to purchase your own 3DS system.

Before I do that, though, I don't think there will be a huge run on the 3DS system like we saw with the Wii or the original DSi. And definitely not anything like the releases of the iPad tablets. The online stores appear to have plenty of the 3DS systems in stock, as none are showing low stock at the moment. I did personally check our local Wal-Mart for stock, and there were only two. But we live in a small town, so I didn't expect to find many anyway.

Nintendo 3DS Console Deals Today:

• 

  Amazon - Amazon is giving away a $25 game credit when you purchase the 3DS from their online store. The 3DS is the typical $249.99 here and everywhere, and is available in both colors. If you have Prime, you'll also get free shipping.

• Best Buy - Best Buy is offering free in-store pickup when you purchase the Nintendo 3DS from their online shop. The only deal Best Buy is offering is on a game purchase. You'll get a $10 gift card for free when you purchase a select 3DS game today.
• Wal-Mart - In-store, Wal-Mart is offering a $100 trade-in credit on your old Nintendo DS systems (with power cord) to go toward the purchase of the 3DS console. If you have to get the 3DS today (as in right now), and don't need your old DS anymore, this is the perfect deal. Online, Wal-mart is offering a bundle package for the normal $249.99 price, but that only includes a protective case.
• Target - no special deal, and for some reason the online store says you can't purchase the 3DS in-store today. So, I don't recommend bothering with Target until the very last if you want the 3DS today and can't find it anywhere else.
• eBay - eBay is probably not the place to go today as buyers of the 3DS have already gone out to Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy Midnight sales, etc. and purchased a bunch of 3DS consoles. Subsequently right now, the prices are about double what you would pay normally at Amazon. You can see the latest prices at eBay below, but Nintendo promises that supply is fine, so prices should go down soon.

If you can wait for the 3DS to be shipped, I recommend Amazon with it's $25 game credit, which you will need so you can purchase the special 3D games for your new console. If you can't wait, and you have a old DS system to trade, go to Wal-Mart. That $100 trade-in would be hard to beat.
