The Olympus E620 Digital SLR camera is one unique piece of photographic genius. Designers have been able to incorporate a number of features that combine higher end models with those of their more modestly priced counterparts. This has created a lot of positive feedback among photojournalists and shutterbugs alike.
Camera buffs love the fact that the body of the Olympus E620 is comparable to that of the popular E520. However, the engineers at Olympus didn't stop there. The also built in a higher resolution, some amazing art filters and a 2.7 inch screen that previews all of the shots taken. On this accomplishment alone, the company has received a number of plaudits for their ingenuity and craftsmanship.

The lens system for the Olympus E620 digital camera was also revamps and now includes the 4/3 lens mount which is compatible with a wide variety of the 4/3 lenses from Olympus and other major manufacturers such as Panasonic and Sigma. These super lenses were specifically included for DSLR use and permit the camera body to meet a much smaller design requirement. But surprisingly, the weight is not significantly decreased, coming in at about the same figure as the other DSLR's in this category.

One potential drawback of the 4/3 (or four-thirds) system is the 2x digital crop factor. While by itself this is not considered a poor feature, wide angle specialists may not want the lens multiplication to be quite so high. The standard 35 mm type will be doubled along with any other lens using this system.
Potentially one of the most intriguing features of the Olympus E620 is the built in Image Stabilization. It has never been done on a camera body of this size before. This idea allows users to attach any type of lens to the unit for snapping shots. This means no additional upgrades are necessary. The only potential downside is that this effect of this won't be seen in the viewfinder.
