The Omega Vert 350 Juicer is completely different than most any other juicer on the market today in at least three noticeable ways. While centrifugal juicers spin rapidly at up to 14000 rpm's, the Omega Vert 350 juicer just "spins" at 80 rpm's. Other juicers shred fruits and vegetables to extract the juice you are after, while the Omega Vert 350 squeezes the food product to extract juice in a way that leaves the real taste of the food along with the nutrients intact! And finally, while the Omega VRT350 is still a fairly large juicer, it is smaller than comparable masticating juicers and much smaller than other centrifugal juicers.

As mentioned above, the Omega Vert 350 juicer extracts juice at the extremely low rate of 80 rpm's. Omega promotes this, along with its single auger design as LSTS or Low Speed Technology System. By extracting at such a low speed, the Vert 350 is capable of not only leaving the juice's nutrients and vitamins more intact, but also keeps the juicer itself from overheating. If you've worked with a juicer before, you'll know the frustration of overheating one, and aggravating and slow this can make the juicing process.

The slow speed of the Omega Vert 350 juicer also allows for more juice to be extracted. By slowly crushing the food product, then squeezing it with the vertical auger, the Omega VRT350 is able to squeeze almost every ounce of juice from any food placed into the juicer. This dual-stage, single auger design makes the VRT350 good not only for fruits that might typically be juiced (oranges, apples, grapefruit), but also those unique foods (wheat grass and soybeans). After extraction, it's very noticeable just how dry the leftover pulp really is when using the Omega 350.

The Omega Vert 350 juicer is also good for those households who want a masticating juicer, but have limited room to keep one. While the VRT350 is tall, at almost 16 inches, it's just over 9" long and just under 7" wide. Comparable juicers from Omega, like the Omega 8005, can be over 15" long, taking up far too much counterspace for those of us who are limited in area available. The 50 ounce juicing cups which are typically included will add a bit more space to the juicer when in use, but can be stored neatly away in the cabinet, or maybe just the dishwasher if used on a daily basis.
Cleanup is fairly easy with the Omega Vert 350, but we should point out that during juicing, the 350 has a self cleaning device that keeps the filter clear. This "system is called AWS, and means less stopping to clean the device before you are complete, and maybe no stops at all. With actual cleaning, everything on the device pretty much snaps off, and can either be cleaned by hand, or placed in the dishwasher. Since we're dealing with pulp residue, I do recommend a bit of hand cleaning before throwing the parts in the dishwasher.
What we don't like about the Omega 350 is that it's pretty much the same juicer as the Omega 330, but with a much stronger filter. If you already own the 330, there's no need to purchase this device. Just run a search for the stronger filter that fits the 330, and you'll have a comparable 350 juicer already.
With that said, we recommend the Omega Vert 350 juicer over the 330 if neither is owned. The more durable filter with the Omega Vert 350 juicer is far more useful for those who want to use their juicer every day. The standard 330 juicer filter just won't hold up to every day use, or not for very long anyway.
For those who want the most juice out of their favorite fruits and vegetables, but don't have the room for a standard sized juicer, the Omega Vert 350HD juicer is our recommendation. The slow extraction process allows for not only the best tasting juice from raw foods, but makes for an extremely quiet juicer!
