Panasonic took the best abilities of the other waterproof cameras on the market, and added a little bit more with the altimeter, barometer, and even a compass. We would never solely rely on a camera to help us find our path through the mountains and back country, but it would certainly be nice to either have this camera as a backup for those features, or to just leave the GPS units packed up until we really need it.

Haven't even talked about the addition of the 3D capabilities to the Panasonic TS3. Very few cameras have added the ability to create 3D photos at this time, and even fewer waterproof cameras. But if 3D type photos are something that you would like, and I would think they would be if you are active enough to need a camera underwater or on the slopes, then the Panasonic TS3 camera is a no brainer.
Overall, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS3 camera does everything that you could ask for, even including in-camera color settings to feed your creative side. And of course with this option the camera's package comes complete with photo and video editing software.
A phenomenal value for the person or family with an active lifestyle, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS3 camera is backed by Panasonic's well known commitment to quality electronics. The Panasonic TS3 price is very comparable to the other waterproof cameras (like the Olympus Tough cameras - 810 and 610), but with the additional abilities like 3D, altimeter, and barometer, this camara might just be the smarter bargain.
