Stuff We Like But Not Necessarily A Bargain:  Porsche Carrera GT

Only manufactured during the 2004-2006 model years, the Porsche Carrera GT is still at the top, in fact the top 10 of most supercar lists still today.
The Porsche Carrera GT has a 5.7 liter V10 engine producing 612 horsepower. Initial claims with this engine had the Carrera GT from 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds and 0 to 100 in 6.8 seconds.

The only transmission available was a 6-speed manual transmission; unlike other supercars which come with paddle transmissions. The unique part of the transmission was the gear stick which was made of beechwood.

The Porsche Carrera GT was produced in five different paint schemes: yellow (Fayence), black, silver, gray, and red (Guards). Of course, for a premium price, the factory would paint the Carrera GT to the customer's liking.

At over $400,000 new, you would expect something special on the exterior of the car, and in the Porsche Carrera GT's case, that special thing would be carbon: carbon fibre rear hood, Carbon fiber reinforced ceramic brakes, and carbon fiber monocoque and subframe. In typical Porsche style, the spoiler extends from the back lid as the car's speed accelerates 70 mph.
