Regator – A Fantastic Replacement for Google’s Feed Reader
Pin It
My favorite feed reader of all time is Google's reader, and only because it's just so simple to use. But, for those of you wanting a little more to go along with your feed reader, meaning you want to see what news you are missing, see trending topics, etc., then Regator.com appears to handle that process nicely!
Regator's byline is : "a bite of the blogosphere's best", and I think that's true. When you first visit the site, you see the most popular posts at the moment, along with trending topics to the right. Honestly, for someone who writes for several blogs, it's nice to see topics that are popular. It kinda helps to see what's popular before I try and write about it.
If you sign up for a free account at Regator, you will obviously be able to add your favorite feeds to your account, but there's another feature available to account holders that I really like. And that's the ability to add tags to your account. So, say if I add the tag "bargain" to my account, Regator searches through the blogs and finds the latest entries for that particular tag. That's a nice feature, and with that particular tag, maybe I find the bargains I need to be writing about for you guys!
Check out Regator.com today if you are interested in another take on free feed readers. It's obviously free to use, has an iPhone app, and is simple enough to enjoy!
