With each passing release of the pocket / point-and-shoot camera crowd, we are finding that each is focusing so much more on social or sharing aspects available. The Samsung SH100 digital camera goes further than any camera we have seen to date! Not only does the camera have Wi-Fi capabilities, but the Samsung SH100 is also capable of using the Wi-Fi to directly upload into Facebook. This capability reminds just slightly of the device I am using to write this post (iPhone 3GS), but with a flash. And I think that's where the camera makers are trying to merge.

But you might think that Samsung with it's line of smartphones wouldn't want to negate their products there. And correct you would be, so Samsung drummed up something special for the SH100 digital camera. If you own a Samsung Galaxy S Droid phone, the two devices can actually work together. In fact you may use the phone as a sort of viewfinder for the SH100 camera. No need to hold or stay behind the SH100 if both devices are available. Meaning the photographer can be in the picture now instead of out of it.
The specs on the Samsung SH100 digital camera are very good compared to other cameras at the same price point. The 14 megapixel CCD sensor does a great job along with the digital image stabilization and Smart Auto features of capturing very low noise photos with good to great clarity. Both also work in conjunction to create high quality HD movies at 720p resolution and 30 frames per second.

Mentioning the viewfinder above, using the Galaxy phone as a viewfinder is the only one available to this camera, and of course it isn't a conventional viewfinder. However, just having one is better than none at all! Instead the Samsung SH100 digital camera does what all of the other pocket and point-and-shoot cameras do and instead have provided a high quality touch 3-inch LCD screen to the camera.
