The Shure E3c earphones are based off of a design for onstage musicians, as are most Shure earphones, which means you are going to get the highest quality earphone available. Of course one of the down sides of Shure earphones, is the price. However, we're here to find you a bargain, no matter what, and we think the Shure E3c earphones are one of the best Shure products available, but also available at a bit lower than normal cost. Some of this price reduction may be involved in the Shure E3c's being discontinued, but that doesn't make their quality less.

One of the best known features of the Shure E3c earphones (again like all Shure earphones) is the ability to isolate and/or block outside noise. You'll find noises at 37 decibels or below or lessened, deadened, or eliminated completely while wearing your pair of Shure E3c earphones. 37 decibles is just about the right level of sound to drown out airplane or train noise, or at the very least muffle them to where they aren't a distraction. And unlike other sound isolating earphones, Shure doesn't rely on battery power to accomplish the task, but instead focuses on their engineering designs.

The sound quality of the Shure E3c earphones is of the same quality you expect from other Shure earphones. The E3c's, as with the other E-series earphones use a wideband microDriver system to enhance the bass and treble making the sound exceptionally clear and crip.

For comfort, the Shure E3c's have a 62" long cable to help make the fit as comfortable as possible. Any sized person can comfortably wear the E3c earphones and stow their electronic device just about as far as they want without suffering comfort. You also have options of wearing the headphones dangling down in the front, or looping them over your ears and down your pack into a backpack or other device. One thing people would have liked to seen in the Shure E3c earphones is a stiffer portion of the cable for fitting around the ear, as some have reported that an over the ear configuration doesn't hold as well as they would like. But wearing the E3c's over the ear is not something most will do, and the problem hasn't affected too many people.

The Shure E3c earphones also include the L-shaped connector at the ear piece itself to allow for 360 degrees of rotation, thus eliminating the tangling of wires that so often happens with earbuds.
