The Shure PGX24 comes with a PGX2 Handheld Transmitter (to hold your Shure microphone cartridge) and the PGX4 Diversity receiver. You do have options as far as the microphone cartridge goes, with the SM58, BETA58, SM86, and PG58 microphone cartridges. However mosts people do choose the SM58 setup. Whichever you decide, the Shure PGX24 system is easy to set-up simply because the set-up process is an automatic set-up with just a touch of a button. The set-up process is so simply that an eight year-old child could set it up properly.

To set up the Shure PGX24 system properly, you must plug the PGX24 Diversity receiver up, then you have to place two AA batteries into the PGX2 Handheld Transmitter (wireless microphone) and then you're ready to get started. Not only is the set-up process easy for the Shure PGX24, the content is very clear. The sound quality is extremely clear and you will not have to worry about hearing static noises in the middle of your performance. The PGX2 Handheld Transmitter has industry standard quality and high vocal abilities. The PGX24 Diversity receiver has automatic transmitter setup, automatic frequency channel selection, and it is compatible with 12 systems. One-fourth wave antennas are included.
