If you are just a beginner photographer or even if you are more advanced, the Sony α A230L 10.2 MP Digital SLR Camera is the camera to own! Our reviewer hasn't had the camera very long, but she is able to share a few items with you that you might find interesting.

The Sony Alpha DSLR-A230l camera's strongest features are its ability to get the "new to DSLR" photographer up and going. Many reviewers have stated that the A230L comes about as close as a "point and shoot" camera as you can get in the DSLR camera field. You can just take the A230L right out of the box, and start taking photos without a lot of instruction on how to do so. The 18mm-50mm SAL1855 lens that accompanies the new A230L camera packages is also very easy to figure out, and with it's aperture range of 3.5-5.6, it's perfect for most photographers needs.

I found the Sony Alpha A230L 10.2 megapixel DSLR camera also had some other really nice features for every level photographer. For instance, it has a 10.2 megapixel with an APS-size CCD image sensor camera which is simply amazing for fine detail (It had rained the day I bought the camera and I managed to take a beautiful picture of a water droplet on a day lily)!

We also really enjoy the aforementioned 18-55mm zoom lens which is shipped with the Sony Alpha A230L camera. It's a generic range for entry-level cameras, but 18mm-55mm gives you just about all you need in starting out. With the A230L, the lens is detachable, so you can purchase other Sony lenses later on if you decide you need more range. Another great feature of the Sony Alpha A230L 10.2 MP Digital SLR camera is the inside image stabilization. I mean what is worse than thinking you have an amazing shot and having the picture come out blurry because the image was moving or there was a slight breeze? So having the inside image stabilization is great for a photographer like me!

I would have to say though that my favorite feature is the 2.7 inch LCD display screen. The biggest thing I look for when purchasing a camera is the size of the LCD screen. I do realize that on smaller LCD screens I can zoom in on the image if I want to see something in specific up close, but I believe just having a bigger LCD screen is more efficient instead of trying to find the thing I'm looking for on the screen and zooming in instead. You can purchase DSLR cameras with a 3" screen, and I wish this one was able to have that slightly bigger screen, but the 2.7" does seem to fit the Sony DSLR-A230L camera nicely.
