The absolute best part of the Sony BDP-S370 Blu-ray player is the load time. While other Blu-ray devices have extremely long load times, the BDP-S370 player only takes 3 seconds from power on to the disc displaying the menu. A few more seconds to load the content for the disc's content, maybe 20 seconds, and you're set. There are very few Blu-ray devices that can load as quickly as a Sony, not to mention the Sony BDP-S370 player.

The Sony BDP-S370 Blu-ray player also includes the ability to stream content from Netflix, Amazon Video on Demand, Crackle, and Pandora. The S370 does include an ethernet port for accessing this internet content, but does not include a WiFi device. You can purchase a Sony specific USB dongle for wireless connectivity, but that will add around $60 to your purchase price.

If you choose to connect the Sony BDP-S370 player to the internet, then you might also be interested in using your iPhone or Android phone as its remote. yes, the BDP-S370 does ship with a remote, but most of us usually have our smart phones closer than our remotes. So Sony has built and app for both Android and iOS that can control just about every aspect of the BDP-S370 player from the phone itself. The app is free to own, and only requires a download to your smart phone, and then registering the app with your Sony Live account.
There is one item we found while researching our Sony BDP-S370 review, and that's the Netflix interface. If you are familiar with streaming Netflix on other devices, you know that there is some semblance of browse or search capability. Not so with the BDP-S370 player, as you must add whatever you want to watch via Netflix.com (I prefer InstantWatcher.com), and then find it in your instant queue on the S370. This Netflix problem isn't just on the S370 Blu-ray player, but almost all Sony devices.

Other than the Netflix issue, the Sony BDP-S370 reviews with flying colors. The 1080p device comes through in absolute HD quality, provided your HDTV is ready for it. It also up-converts all of your old DVD's to near HD quality, giving your old purchases new life in your new player. And streaming, while not perfect in Netflix's case, can be HD quality, depending upon your internet connection speed of course.
The Sony BDP-S370 reviews as a player that just works, and has most of the features you want. And maybe leaves off those features that you might want, but you don't really need in exchange for a bargain price!
