The Razor Dirt Quad only goes about 10 mph, which we think is just about the right speed for children to begin learning to ride. The engine on the Razor Dirt Quad is only a 350 watt engine, but it's able to carry the recommended size of rider (up to 120 lbs) off road or up slightly steep terrain using a drive train that determines the best amount to use and can increase or reduce depending on how the motor is performing. And it will perform well with it's chain drive and variable speed transmission! Purchasers of the Razor Dirt Quad have found this transmission to be fairly quiet compared to it's competitors.

The Razor Dirt Quad is built out of a durable tube-style steel frame to make sure you don't have problems with frame breakage. And on the parts that do break normally, like the fairings, Razor has built those parts to withstand shattering. And you know the kids will try to break the fairings as they push through brush and branches.

* Ride Time: according to reviews, it's possible to get 40 minutes of seat time with each 8 hour charge. Recommended to purchase additional 6-volt batteries if plans are to be out longer (see Amazon for extra batteries).

* Brakes: rear disc brake only. No brakes on the front.
