The actual cooking area of the Weber Genesis E-310 gas grill is built with 3 high performance burners (42,000 BTU's), also of stainless steel. Weber wanted this grill to start quickly and easily, so they built an electronic system which lights all of the burners one after the other with the only input required from you is the push of a single button. Flavorizer bars are also built into the E-310, to keep the flames constant instead of being interrupted with grease splatter. The entire cooking area is a whopping 637 inches! That's split at a little more than 500" for the primary area with 130" or so left over for the warming rack.
