Weekly Roundup of Bargains and Deals – October 3 2010
Pin It
As I stated in my previous post, it's been quite the adventure keeping Find Cheap Bargains online for the past few days. Thanks to those of you who might have visited while I've been working, and possibly seeing error messages all over the place. But hopefully that's behind me now, and I can move forward!
Still staying with the cameras with a few camcorders here and there, the camera category has a lot to offer, and a lot of great camera products for me to write about. I just looked at all we have written in the camera field, and started to think that it's possible we could run out soon. But then I realize I've barely even touched the surface of camera lenses, camera flashes, and wireless units. So, I'll probably be in this area for some time to come yet.
Pocket Camcorders and Cameras
Since I guess the middle of 2009 or so, pocket camcorders have steadily climbed up the charts of new products that people really want. People love to record events as they happen, whether it's a family event, or something news worthy. The pocket camcorders we wrote about in the past two weeks are also HD quality pocket camcorders, so they're extremely small and light, making them easy to carry, but also have some of the best quality video available today.
Camcorders
The really hot camcorders as of right now are the ones with large internal memory modules built-in. I've reviewed two in the past weeK: one with a medium size memory unit, and one with a fairly large unit.
- Panasonic HDC-TM700K Camcorder
- Panasonic HDC-TM55K Camcorder - both of these camcorders have a large internal storage unit, so you don't have to purchase additional memory cards at the start before use. This one has 8Gb, but the one above, the TM700K, has a whopping 32 gigabytes of internal storage!
Point and Shoot Digital Cameras
Nikon Coolpix digital cameras are extremely popular right now, with the S8000 being the most preferred. However, we found that the S3000 and S4000, with their 12 megapixel resolutions to be pretty nice bargains from Coolpix line of compact digital cameras.
I don't want to say that you should just buy a Coolpix, when you have these three point-and-shoot digital cameras available to choose from as well.
It wouldn't be a week of cameras without at least one DSLR camera, and the Canon EOS 5D Mark II DSLR camera is one of the very best! It features a 21.1 megapixel resolution on a full-frame CMOS sensor, the 5D is known as the first full-frame compact DSLR, with it's sister cameras being the Nikon D700 and Alpha 900 cameras.
So, that's what we've accomplished in the past two weeks. I feel like we're going to continue "camera week" this week, although if a great deal pops up, I'll definitely pop it in to review.
